A Song of Ascent

Surrounded by the rolling hils of Jerusalem, they pour out their heart through song. They forget about their worries and break free from all the things that hold them back. Together they sing a song of praise and love. The tunes drown out their troubles and they ascend further and further away from the shackles of exile.

this piece was inspired by a beautiful scene I witnessed in Jerusalem, it was a warm sunny day, and amid the midday hustle and bustle, these men were just singing and dancing to bring happiness and light into the world. The vibrant colors and expressive marks makes this painting feel alive. You can almost feel the soft breeze and hear the sweet sound of the music. Looking at this painting transports you to the streets of Jerusalem.
